Celebrate Women

Since I can remember, I’ve always been surrounded by strong, beautiful, brilliant, warm, loving, funny women who provide for themselves, their families, and society.  They all have a good heart that abounds with love, which in my opinion supports their greatness.  They are naturally courageous and leaders within their inner sphere of influence, their organization, and society. I feel most fortunate to still be surrounded by women like this today.  For #WomensHistoryMonth, I will highlight various women in my network via Instagram and LinkedIn stories and those that I wish were :)

There are numerous women in my network, and while some of them may not be participating, they all have many of the same characteristics.  Some continue to break boundaries, create and nurture community and culture; are amazing at maintaining deep and meaningful connections, and run successful businesses or side hustles.  Some have a deep sense of spirituality, are fearless, highly educated, and hold a special place as mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, wives, and girlfriends.

The women highlighted have made me smile, laugh, and ponder some of the mysteries of life. I’ve known some since I was a freshman and cheerleader at Brooklyn Tech.  I’ve had the fortune of partnering with some on my development journey, had the privilege of mentoring some, and had the fortune to collaborate, work and partner with others.

I’ve learned that when I get a burst of energy around an idea, I have to pursue it in the moment.  These inspired thoughts usually lead me down a path where I am humbled, energized, and in love with being human.   This is what happened one random day last month when I quickly typed an email and sent it out to some of the amazing women I know.  Most of these women you will see throughout the month graciously said, ‘yes’ when I presented them with my humble request. I am so honored and fortunate to have them in my community. Thank you for being you.

Make sure to check back daily so you don’t miss their highlight.

With gratitude.

Marsha
